November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month!
Designated as Lung Cancer Awareness month, this is the time to bring awareness to the number one cancer killer of us all globally. White is the color for lung cancer and you’ll see white ribbon pins on lapels.
The American Lung Association (https://lung.org) is teaming up with Lung Force (https://www.lung.org/lung-force) to stop the fact that every day more than 357 Americans die daily for lung cancer. The Lung Force “initiative unites those impacted by lung cancer and their caregivers to stand together against lung cancer. Through education, advocacy and research, we work to ensure fewer people are diagnosed and those living with lung cancer live longer.”
Lung Force has an Advocacy Day to petition the US government to increase lung cancer research funding, support World Lung Cancer Day and November as Lung Cancer Awareness Month. They sport turquoise as their color and organize Turquoise Takeovers to raise awareness.
We stand with Lung Force to raise awareness for Lung Cancer in a turquoise and white kilt in the Andes.
